I abandon the chair I was pulling and take the one offered. "I fair questionably. I've been searching for Red Lightning for a few days but he seems to have wandered off on me again. But alas, a druid in the wild never wants to be found. I'd much rather wait here or at home among friends and fires for that scoundrel.
No need for a drink quite yet, I'll let my human bones settle from the cold first."

The tavern wench walks past the table, setting a wooden tankard in front of Dragonfly. Ainvar chuckles, 'Aye, this will help settle the bones, and the mind for that matter'. He pours her some mulled, spiced mead from the small cask, and tops
his horn off. 'Druids are fickle people, the Elf is probably listening to the snow fall, awaiting some message from an infernal realm I'm sure'. Ainvar takes a long drag from his pipe and exhales, smoke screening around his face once more. 'What news of the Hobbit?, he has told me he wishes to make a standard for our Shire, yet
I have not seen the man, though with this snow I am sure itsit's not hard to lose him
in these drifts'. Ainvar takes another drag on his pipe, downing another mouthful of mead before exhaling the sweet smoke.

Laughing at Ainvar's words I take the offered drink. "Listening to the snow fall, indeed. I trust you are right, he'll wander in eventually."
"As for our hobbit friend, the drawings are done quite well, but I'm told it's his woman that will be doing the work for him. The standard should be ready before spring, I hope."

Luna looked from across the room to Rath, her eyes and lips pressed together. "Why didn't you tell me this happened to Nocturnus?" Luna then pointed to the Baron before realizing that Rath was gone.

Ainvar nods, 'Spring, I hope. it will be needed before the campaigning season begins'. He puffs on his pipe before continuing. 'I would like you to help me establish an order of druidry within the Cimbri, since you mention Oak Magic. It is far time our tribe begins delving into the secrets of the Earth. These are trying times for the race of Man, and I fear steel and blood will not be enough. What say you?'.

While I heard what Ainvar had said, what Lady Luna had said caught my attention more. "That... Elf is Nocturnus?" I say this loudly, my voice startling even myself. "That isn't right, Nocturnus is one of those dark skinned things, a Drow."
I look at the rest of my table companions for confirmation. "Right?"

::Nocturnus' ears pop slightly, seems this form if you can call it such didn't hinder his hearing. He walks over with his whisky to join in::
Nocturnus: Yes, it is me. I...used to be dark skinned, a drow. But in his great wisdom the All Father decided that it was better I look like this. It's weird though, I don't feel very different, just look in the mirror and see both old me and this at the same time, almost super imposed upon each other. Then again, maybe that is part of the All Father's plan.

Ainvar nods at Dragonfly, exhales a cloud of pipeweed, and turns his attention upon the creature. 'I was unawares The Dagda gave concern to the...race..of Elves. Though, perhaps this is the All Father's attempt to cure you of your sickness, and revert you back to humanity'. Ainvar takes a gulp from his horn, and sets to cleaning his pipe out to reload it.

Well, as Rath will tell you, off shoots of my race have had dealings and issues with the Keepers of Asgard before, though I believe this one has more to do with the fact that I tried to kill him with lighting a while back...To be fair, I didn't know it was him.

Luna watched Nocturnus join the rest of the group in the tavern. She then hopped off the bar, grabbed her outer clothing and then started to put them on again. "I hope to see you tomorrow. We have a lot to discus, Baron. I am happy you are home again," Luna said as she finished the final touches to fixing her garb.

I frown down at the drink before me and mutter almost too soft for human ears, "things here keep changing too quickly. They are all so weird."
Looking up I nod to various table occupants before turning back to Ainvar. "I know I just got here, but I just realized there are some things I must prepare before our voting. And the track back to the shire in this snow may take a while. I wish to speak more on an order of the wise though. I have much knowledge you may rely upon." I stand rather violently, almost tipping my chair. "I am sorry for not speaking with most of you before leaving." This said to any listening.

Ainvar passes a glance at the Elf before standing, grabbing his cloak and brooches it. 'Yes, we should get back to the fort before the dark comes, Dragonfly'. He downs the last if his mead as he slaps a couple coins on the table as tip. Before making his way towards the door, Ainvar looks back to Dragonfly, 'I salute you as a free person'. Turning on his heel, Ainvar makes his way out of the tavern, throwing his hood over his head.
